Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) has become the first university globally to host an IBM Quantum System One, featuring a 127-qubit IBM Quantum Eagle processor. This collaboration aims to advance quantum computing, workforce development, and educational opportunities, enhancing RPI's research capabilities in fields like chemistry, physics, and materials science. The system is installed at RPI's historic Voorhees Computing Center Chapel and offers dedicated access to a utility-scale quantum computer for RPI's network of researchers, students, and partners.
