Premier Wab Kinew announced a new health-care centre will be built at Portage Place, partnering with True North Real Estate Development and the Southern Chiefs' Organization. The Health-Care Centre of Excellence will include primary care physicians, dialysis beds, mental health and addiction support services, and an expansion of Pan Am Clinic. This project aims to transform Manitoba's downtown community, reduce wait times, and revitalize downtown.
