5 people, including a police officer, were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash in Englewood involving a Chicago Police Department patrol car. The incident occurred on Friday at 6:49 p.m. in the 700 block of W. 59th Street when a vehicle collided with the squad car. The officer sustained a back injury and was listed in good condition, while the other four received treatment for observation.
