47 medical students in Bangalore hospitalized with acute gastroenteritis, cholera suspected.

47 medical students from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute's girls hostel were hospitalised due to symptoms of loose stools and dehydration. All students were admitted to Victoria Hospital, with 28 in the Trauma Care Centre, 13 in H Block, and three in the ICU. The students have been diagnosed with acute gastroenteritis, and investigations are ongoing. Cholera is suspected, but culture test results are awaited.
