A man died after crashing his car into a train support beam on St. Bernard Avenue near I-610.
A fatal crash occurred early Saturday morning on St. Bernard Avenue near I-610 westbound exit. A man driving southbound reportedly jumped the center elevated median and crashed head-on into a train support beam. No other cars were involved and the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was the only person in the car. The New Orleans Police Department and the Orleans Parish Coroner's Office are investigating the incident.
