Lucasfilm has enlisted "House of Cards" creator Beau Willimon to co-write "Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi" with director James Mangold. The film, set 25,000 years before the movie timelines, will explore the origins of the Force. Willimon previously worked as a writer on the "Andor" series. The upcoming "The Mandalorian & Grogu" spin-off film is set for a global theatrical release on May 22, 2026.
