Canadian hospice leader Angelina Ireland promotes anti-euthanasia film "The Story of Euthanasia" to raise awareness of the "predatory doctor-assisted suicide regime" in Canada. Delta Hospice Society, led by Ireland, refused to participate in medical assistance in dying (MAID), causing financial consequences. Ireland hopes the film will reveal the realities of Canada's MAID regime and inspire discussions on the issue, which became legal in 2016.
