Boston Red Sox shortstop Trevor Story injured his left shoulder in the 4th inning and will undergo an MRI.
Boston Red Sox shortstop Trevor Story left a game against the Los Angeles Angels in the fourth inning after injuring his left shoulder while diving to field a ground ball hit by Mike Trout. Story will undergo an MRI exam to determine the severity of the injury. This is not the first time Story has faced injury issues, having played in only 94 games in 2022 and 43 games last season due to various injuries. Manager Alex Cora expressed concern for Story's well-being and hope for a swift recovery.
