2021 data from the UK's Office for National Statistics (ONS) reveals that male veterans aged 25-44 are at a significantly higher risk of suicide compared to their non-veteran counterparts in the same age range, with suicide rates of 38.2 and 33.5 deaths per 100,000 respectively. This is the first time ONS has published analysis of suicides among British veterans in England and Wales.
