Toronto Blue Jays designate Wes Parsons for assignment, select Paolo Espino from Triple-A Buffalo.

Toronto Blue Jays have designated right-handed pitcher Wes Parsons for assignment, and selected contract of right-handed pitcher Paolo Espino from Triple-A Buffalo. Espino, who performed well in spring training, will help add length to the team's bullpen. Parsons, who struggled in the opening week of the season, was replaced by Espino, a veteran of five big league seasons with a 2.65 ERA in spring innings.
