The Indian Coast Guard rescued 27 stranded Bangladeshi fishermen from their broken-down boat in the Bay of Bengal. The crew was adrift for two days due to a steering gear breakdown, causing the boat to drift into Indian waters. The ICG technical team tried to fix the issue, but discovered the rudder was irreparably damaged. The fishermen were later handed over to the Bangladeshi coast guard.
