South Africa unveils a new 1.3-billion-dollar Labor Activation Program to address mounting unemployment. The program, launched by Minister of Labor and Employment Thulas Nxesi, will be first implemented in Gauteng Province before rolling out nationwide. The program aims to enhance employability through training, enable entrepreneurship through enterprise development, and collaborate across government departments and entities to create jobs, skills training, and enterprise opportunities. An allocation of 23.8 billion rand (about 1.28 billion USD) has been set aside for the plan.
