Riverside police fatally shot an armed man during a domestic violence incident, using less-lethal force first.

Riverside police fatally shot a man armed with a knife during a domestic violence incident at 3400 block of Chestnut St. Police were summoned to the scene, tried less-lethal force but were forced to shoot the suspect. The female victim was treated for injuries and taken to a local hospital in stable condition. The officers involved have been placed on administrative leave while the investigation continues.
