Nigeria's House of Reps Deputy Spokesman, Philip Agbese, survived an assassination attempt during a constituency outreach in Benue State, while military personnel arrested the suspects.
Nigeria's House of Reps Deputy Spokesman, Hon. Philip Agbese, escaped an assassination attempt on Thursday in Igumale, Ado LGA of Benue State during a constituency outreach for the Easter celebration. Military personnel rescued Agbese, who represents Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency, and arrested the suspected assassins. The Global Amnesty Watch International has condemned the attack and called for an investigation by the Inspector General of Police.
