A massive fire broke out at a storage facility of Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited in Raipur, causing transformers and electrical equipment worth around ₹50 crore to be gutted. The incident occurred on April 5 and no casualties were reported. People living near the facility were evacuated and around 30 fire tenders were used to douse the flames. The fire was contained after about eight hours.
