The US construction industry experienced strong job growth in March, with construction firms boosting payrolls by the most since May 2022, leading to an overall labor market increase. Nearly 42% of the 39,000 employment increase was due to non-residential specialty trade contractors. Payroll growth also strengthened in residential categories and heavy and civil engineering construction.
