Judge denies Nassau County's request for temporary restraining order against NY state legal action on transgender players ban.

New York state officials can continue legal action against Nassau County, outside New York City, which has banned transgender players from women’s and girls teams, a judge ruled. The county's request for a temporary restraining order against state Attorney General Letitia James was denied by U.S. District Court Judge Nusrat Choudhury, stating that the county failed to demonstrate irreparable harm, a critical prerequisite for such an order. The ruling did not address the legality of the county's ban.
