Eastbound I-90 in Chautauqua County closed Apr 5-6 for North Road overpass repairs; detour during solar eclipse weekend.

The NYS Thruway Authority announced an emergency closure of eastbound I-90 lanes in Chautauqua County from Apr 5, 5pm to Apr 6, 7am for repairs to a severely damaged North Road overpass. The overpass has been damaged by 3 truck incidents this year. An 18-mile detour will be in place during the closure, affecting travelers heading to Buffalo and Niagara Falls for the solar eclipse on Apr 8.
