Calgary's Arts Commons is set for a $270-million expansion, increasing the capacity of the downtown arts and culture hub by nearly 45%. The first phase of the $660-million project includes a 1,000-seat theatre and a 200-seat studio theatre housed in a new three-level building, adjacent to Olympic Plaza. Construction is set to begin in the fall, slated for completion by the 2028-29 season.
