Bhutan is partnering with Nasdaq-listed Bitdeer Technologies to enhance its Bitcoin mining capacity sixfold ahead of the upcoming halving event. The Himalayan nation aims to expand its mining capacity to 600 megawatts by utilizing its abundant hydropower resources and cutting-edge hardware technology. The collaboration between Druk Holding & Investments and Bitdeer aims to offset potential revenue impacts from the halving, which will cut Bitcoin mining rewards in half.
