Airdrie RCMP officer Maxime Bedard charged with assault with a weapon and uttering threats following an off-duty incident in Calgary.

Airdrie RCMP officer, Constable Maxime Bedard, has been charged with assault with a weapon and uttering threats following an off-duty incident in Calgary on March 9. The alleged victim, a man, was assaulted outside a northwest Calgary apartment building and was not injured. Bedard is set to appear in Alberta Court of Justice on May 14. The officer has been suspended with pay, and once the criminal charges are resolved, his duty status will be reviewed.
