33-year-old Kayla Tinsley, a Rhea County woman, was indicted and charged in connection with the drug-related death of a 27-year-old Pikeville woman, Hailey Green, in 2022. Tinsley is accused of distributing fentanyl that led to Green's fatal overdose. She faces one count of second-degree murder and three counts of possession of a controlled substance for resale. Tinsley was arrested and held at Rhea County Jail on a $450,000 bond.
