29-year-old Daniel Popescu pleaded guilty to attempted murder and stalking of a pregnant woman in Aberfan, Merthyr Tydfil. The attack occurred on December 5, 2023. Popescu, of no fixed address, will be sentenced on May 28 and is expected to receive an immediate custodial sentence. The victim, Andreea Pintilli, was treated at the University Hospital of Wales after suffering at least five stab wounds.
