Vancouver's Overdose Prevention Site, Thomus Donaghy OPS, relocated to the 1000 block of Howe Street due to lease expiration at its previous location. The health authority says daily visits to the site increased 150% since opening in March 2021, reversing over 200 drug overdoses. However, Mayor Ken Sim expressed disappointment as the city was not consulted on the relocation and preferred the site to be moved to St. Paul's Hospital.
