Tesla plans to send a team to India in April to scout locations for a proposed $2-$3bn electric car plant, following India's tariff reduction on higher-priced imported EVs as a push for investment. The potential expansion of Tesla's global factory network comes as global EV sales slow. The company expects the factory to reach production of as many as 500,000 cars a year when it reaches full capacity.
