Supreme Court restores Navneet Rana's Scheduled Caste certificate, overturning Bombay High Court's 2021 decision.
The Supreme Court has set aside the Bombay High Court's 2021 judgment that cancelled the caste certificate of Amravati MP and BJP leader, Navneet Rana. The high court had previously invalidated her Scheduled Caste certificate, but the Supreme Court, in its recent decision, restored the certificate. The top court stated that the Bombay High Court should not have interfered with the report of the scrutiny committee on the caste certificate matter.
