Fort Worth, TX, will host the first 2 US Air Force Reserve F-35 Lightning II fighter jets, operated by the 301st Reserve Fighter Wing at Naval Air Station Fort Worth. The Air Force Reserve aims to acquire 26 F-35s, starting pilot and maintenance crew training. This upgrade from F-16s helps the Air Force stay tech-current and aligns with the goal of increasing the F-35 fleet to 526 by 2025.
