Severe storms hit the Midlands, causing damage and power outages. Strong winds, gusting up to 60-70mph, toppled trees onto homes in Lexington, Richland, Kershaw, Newberry, and Saluda Counties. Isolated downpours resulted in brief minor flooding in certain areas, and some injuries were reported.
