Salt Lake City International Airport's new Central Tunnel, featuring artist Gordon Huether's immersive "River Tunnel" installation, shortens the walk between Concourses A and B by a quarter-mile. The installation, set to open October 22, is designed to create the sensation of walking on a riverbed and includes LED lights, blue cloth, and sparkling terrazzo floors. The River Tunnel is part of Phase 3 of the airport's reconstruction.
