Resolution Life acquires Asteron Life from Suncorp Group for NZ$410M (subject to regulatory approvals).

Global life insurer Resolution Life has agreed to acquire New Zealand life insurance firm Asteron Life from Suncorp Group for NZ$410 million, subject to regulatory approvals. The deal will make Resolution Life the second-largest life insurer in New Zealand and will see Asteron Life operating as a standalone, New Zealand licensed life insurance company under its existing brand. The acquisition is expected to complete within nine months.
