Four people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on the New England Highway at Wingen, north of Scone, on Thursday, April 4. The incident involved two trucks and an SUV towing a caravan. The drivers of the SUV, a man in his 60s, and the smaller truck, a man in his 40s, were seriously injured and taken to John Hunter Hospital. The male driver of the semi-trailer, aged in his 60s, was treated for shock and taken to Muswellbrook Hospital for mandatory testing. The highway remained closed following the collision.
