Nigeria invests €19m in 3rd phase of Energy Support Programme, with World Bank injecting $750m for renewable energy in rural areas.
Nigeria is set to invest €19m in its third phase of the Energy Support Programme, following investments of €48m in phase two. The World Bank, in partnership with the Nigerian Electrification Programme, will also inject $750m for the integration of renewable energy and energy efficiency in rural areas. The Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN) aims to attract $4bn yearly investment to achieve its Net Zero emission target by 2050.
