Nigeria and EU partner for first International Zero Waste Day, promoting sustainable waste management.
The Federal Government of Nigeria and the European Union (EU) have partnered to address the issue of environmental waste. This collaboration marks the first time the International Zero Waste Day has been observed in Nigeria, following its proclamation by the United Nations General Assembly last December. The EU has emphasized the importance of promoting sustainable consumption and production patterns, as well as strengthening waste management globally.
