MBC appoints Samar Akrouk as Managing Director of MBC Studios, replacing Christina Wayne.
Saudi Arabia-based MBC has appointed Samar Akrouk as the new Managing Director of MBC Studios, replacing Christina Wayne, who could not move to Saudi Arabia full-time. Akrouk has been with MBC for almost 30 years and currently holds the position of group director of production. She will continue to oversee non-scripted productions for MBC TV channels, Shahid streaming service, and social media.
