Indian migrant worker Sharanjeet Kaur was awarded €143,000 at the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) for gender discrimination, sexual harassment, and multiple labour law breaches at a north Dublin restaurant. Kaur, a mother of two, claimed she feared being raped by colleagues and was paid as little as €200 for a 50-hour working week. The WRC awarded Kaur the second-largest sum made to a single complainant this year, upholding her claims of discrimination and harassment.
