India approves additional 10,000 tonnes of onion exports to UAE via NCEL, despite extended ban.

India has approved an additional 10,000 tonnes of onion exports to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) through National Cooperative Exports Ltd (NCEL), following the government's approval of 14,400 tonnes last month. The ban on onion exports, initially enforced from December 8, 2023, till March 31, 2024, has been extended, but specified quantities are allowed to be exported to friendly nations and other countries based on their requests.
