Huntsville police arrested Walter Escoria-Gomez, a months-long murder suspect, after recognizing him as an assault victim at a hospital. Escoria-Gomez was identified as the suspect in the November 2023 murder of Francisco Ramirez and had been charged accordingly. The arrest followed an investigation with the Madison County District Attorney's Office and HPD Major Crimes Investigators.
