French MPs approve bill to ban non-essential products containing PFAS, excluding cookware.

French MPs have approved a bill to restrict the manufacture and sale of non-essential products containing PFAS, also known as "forever chemicals". The ban does not include cookware after protests from manufacturers. The bill, introduced by environmentalist Nicolas Thierry, calls for a ban on cosmetics, wax products, and clothing textile products containing PFAS, while the EU considers a blanket ban.
