Matthew Coward, a former swimming coach convicted of secretly filming young girls, received a suspended four-month sentence for assaulting an RTÉ news cameraman outside a Dublin courthouse. Coward, who was on bail, attacked cameraman Micheál Mac Suibhne, causing him physical harm and dropping his camera. In her statement, Judge Michele Finan said Coward's aggression toward a member of the media reflected poorly on society.
