Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) predicts 210,000 complaints for 2024/25, citing financial concerns; targets 90% resolution within six months.

The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) has revised its complaint prediction for 2024/25 from 181,300 to 210,000, citing everyday financial concerns like unaffordable lending, credit card complaints, and fraud and scams as the main reasons. To tackle the increased workload, the FOS will recruit more case handlers, invest in digital services, and expand its regional presence in the UK. The organization has also set a new target of resolving 90% of cases within six months.
