A significant spring storm across Eastern Canada has caused power outages, closing schools, and affecting air travel. Over 255,000 Hydro Quebec customers have experienced power outages in Quebec, with the affected area ranging from Gatineau to Montreal's suburbs. In Ontario, Hydro One reported more than 59,000 customers without power. The storm has also led to school closures and cancelled flights in the region.
