Chicago White Sox sign Mike Clevinger to a $3M, one-year contract; possibility of $3M bonus.
The Chicago White Sox have signed right-handed pitcher Mike Clevinger to a $3 million, one-year contract. The 33-year-old, who had a 3.77 ERA in 24 starts with the White Sox in 2022, could earn an additional $3 million in bonuses for starts and innings. To make room for Clevinger, infielder José Rodríguez was designated for assignment. Clevinger was investigated by MLB for domestic abuse allegations in 2023 but was not disciplined.
