Centre Court Capital, a VC firm backed by steel tycoon Sajjan Jindal, raises up to 3.5 billion rupees ($42m) for its maiden fund to invest in Indian sports tech and gaming startups. The Mumbai-based fund aims to make 15-18 investments, mainly in Series A rounds, over the next three years, targeting a 10-year maturity period. With gaming and sports growing in popularity in India, the fund plans to invest in startups with innovative technology to drive the expansion of the sports and gaming ecosystem.
