Alberta's government doubles Aboriginal Business Investment Fund (ABIF) to $10M annually for 2024-25 fiscal year. Initiated 10 years ago, ABIF has supported 85 Indigenous businesses, creating 800 permanent jobs. Funding of up to $750,000 is granted for business development, job creation, and infrastructure/equipment purchases. The increased funding aims to enhance Indigenous economic development and reconciliation in Alberta.
