22-year-old Daejon Jackson charged with murder, firearm possession, and fentanyl trafficking in Sumter County.
22-year-old Daejon Jackson charged with murder in Sumter County, after body found wrapped in tarp in 2023. SLED discovered Jackson shot Frederick Nelson Jr. 12 times and attempted to conceal the murder by moving the body to a wooded area. Jackson is also charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime and trafficking fentanyl due to a substance found during another investigation.
