51-year-old Alpena woman, Michelle McPherson, was arrested after allegedly attempting to steal her family member's vehicle and calling 911 for non-emergency assistance. She was charged with attempted unauthorized driving away of a motor vehicle, unauthorized use of emergency telecommunications service, and resisting arrest. The owner of the vehicle reported McPherson had broken the driver-side window while trying to take it without permission or keys.
