West Virginia Governor Jim Justice has declared a State of Emergency for Fayette, Kanawha, Lincoln, and Nicholas counties due to severe thunderstorms causing power outages, downed trees, flooding, and road blockages. The State of Emergency allows State and Local agencies to take swift action in mitigating storm impacts and protecting citizens and property. A State of Preparedness remains in effect for all 55 West Virginia counties.
