Virginia-based bond company Libre by Nexus, which posts bail for migrants facing deportation, has been ordered to pay $811 million in restitution and penalties for fraudulent practices, including getting clients to sign contracts they didn't fully understand and requiring them to pay $420 a month for GPS ankle monitors. The company and its executives must also each pay over $111 million in civil penalties.
