U.S. government moves $2bn Bitcoin from Silk Road, potentially preparing for sale.
The U.S. government has moved $2 billion in Bitcoin, seized from the former black-market site Silk Road, in several transactions ahead of a potential liquidation. The so-called digital wallet transferred about $131 million to Coinbase, with the majority of funds moved to different US government-associated addresses. Analysts believe these transactions may be a test ahead of the eventual sale of the Bitcoin.
