Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje filed her nomination as BJP candidate for Bangalore North in Karnataka's April 26 Lok Sabha elections. Karnataka Minister H C Mahadevappa's son Sunil Base filed as Congress nominee for Chamarajanagar, with support from Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. The first phase of voting includes 14 out of 28 Lok Sabha seats, with nomination filing deadline on April 4 and withdrawal deadline on April 8.
